PLAZA DE ARMAS – Main Square (3 blocks from the hotel) It was the first public square with gardens in Chile. In the gardens there is a beautiful water fountain where a monument to pay homage to the national hero Bernardo O’Higgins Riquelme was built.
CATHEDRAL CHURCH Built in 1856, in larch wood; its style was inspired by the Parthenon in Athens. Connected to the Cathedral is the gothic-style chapel of San Francisco de Sales.
DIEGO RIVERA ART HOUSE (2 blocks from the hotel) This building is used for exhibitions of art and culture and was built after an agreement of fraternal cooperation between Chile and Mexico was signed (1960-1963).
JOHN PAUL II MUNICIPAL MUSEUM This museum boasts a collection of photographs and historical items that date back to the Spanish and German colonial times, as well as exhibitions of local painters and many others.
PUEBLITO MELIPULLI (Melipulli Little Town) A charming group of artisans, located in front of the bus terminal on Diego de Portales Avenue. Not only can you buy their metal, wooden and woollen handicrafts, but you can also enjoy the traditional dishes of the area.
ANGELMO (1.6 ml/2.5 km from the city) Angelmo offers a market full of local handicrafts. Another market sells products extracted from the sea by fishermen from the surrounding area of Puerto Montt.
TENGLO ISLAND Tenglo Island is opposite Angelmo, and is separated from the mainland by the Tenglo Channel. You can reach the island by boat. You will marvel at its natural beauty. The island has a path leading to its highest point where there is a cross; from where you can fully appreciate Puerto Montt and the Osorno, Calbuco and Puntiagudo volcanoes.
CHINQUIHUE (7.4 ml/12 km from the city) Chinquihue is the coastal area which goes along the Tenglo Channel. It has an extensive beach, a campsite, and various traditional restaurants that complete this area.
PELLUCO RESORT (2.5 ml/4 km from the city) It is a residential area which offers varied services such as restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs. We can also find here the Chapel of Santa Cruz.
ALERCE ANDINO NATIONAL PARK (29 ml/46 km from the city) It is a mountainous region to the south of Chapo Lake. It stands out for its great wooded landscape and lagoons
VARAS PORT (12.4ml/20 km) This tourist destination is set on land naturally formed by Llanquihue Lake and the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes, and boasts varied tourist services and restaurants, as well as a casino.
